Porcupine/ Puffer fish are one of the most spiniest of fish in the whole world. They live in coral reefs in the tropical seas. Inside it has an organ which makes toxin, there for Porcupine/ Puffer fish have a lot of toxin in them inorder to help portect themselves against preditors. In Japan they actually eat Porcupine/ Puffer fish! As they are thought such a delicacy they can cost hundreds of dollars/pounds just for one serving! Only highly trained chefts can prepare puffer fish as it is so full of toxin. Particular care must be taken when cutting the gonads, skin, liver and intestines. Numbness can be experienced in the tongue and lips if not prepared correctly. Those are just the small side effects that can happen! The more serious effects can be headaches, nausea, vomiting and paralysis of the face and extremities. The most serious is death!! .....don't worry Puffy! I won't be eatting you! Another thing! Death usually occurs within hours but some patients have been known to stay in a zombie like state for days before recovery/death!! Oooo errr!
